– Mechanic: Resurrection is a sequel to 2011’s The Mechanic, which itself was a remake. In this sequel, Arthur Bishop, formerly known as assassin that makes his killings look like accidents, has retired. His girlfriend is kidnapped and Arthur is forced to complete 3 different assassinations and make them look like accidents to have her returned. But as he fulfills his contracts, all may not be as it appears. Now it seems like he teams up with one of his contracts but I can’t confirm from any of the descriptions. I’m not really a fan of Jason Statham, however it looks like Tommy Lee Jones is playing a rich old hippy type that teams up with Arthur as one of his intended targets. The movie may be worth it for that alone.
– Stars Jason Statham, Jessica Alba, Tommy Lee Jones, Michelle Yeoh, Sam Hazeldine, Rhatha Phongam, and Natalie Burn. Directed by Dennis Gansel. Rated R.
– A desperate teen and her thieving friends decide to rob a blind man that they think is defenseless but they soon find that he has skills and secrets of his own. Basically stupid teenagers rob the wrong person and probably die because of it. I can tell it wouldn’t be my kind of movie because already you have no one to root for. They are all horrible.
– Stars Stephen Lang, Jane Levy, Dylan Minnette, Daniel Zovatto, Emma Bercovici, Franciska Töröcsik, Christian Zagia, Katia Bokor, and Sergej Onopko. Directed by Fede Alvarez. Rated R.
