My Geek Confessions #116 – 08/01/2014

Welcome to our episode for August 01, 2014!

With SDCC 2014 being kind of a dud, we decided to just do a normal episode, but you can see Krista’s round-up of most of the news, with a separate post with all the trailer forthcoming. So our show is part recap and part going over things that were missed! We’ll be back next week with more news for your enjoyment. Tell us what you thought about San Diego Comic-Con 2014 in the comments below.

Even with the links split, it’s still a video heavy episode so be warned.

“My Geek Confessions – Watching Bad Movies, So You Don’t Have To!”

  • Patton Oswalt as Agent Koenig (and Koenig) introducing the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. at San Diego Comic-Con. Glad he’s going to be part of the show more as well as the other cast announcements.
  • Speaking of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., here is the Season 1 Blooper reel. This just makes it look like they had even more fun on set then it was for us to watch it.
  • This will probably get taken down (because FOX is dumb) but take a look at leaked test footage for the Deadpool movie that would have starred Ryan Reynolds in the role he was born for.
  • Here is a fun short film where Uma Thurman as Hera  the Goddess in therapy. That means that she’s played at least 3 people from Greek myth, and I enjoy every one.
  • Brain loses it against Pinky in this fake short for Pinky and the Brain, for Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic/That Guy with the Glasses) and guest starring Rob Paulsen and Maurice LaMarche.
  • Honest Trailers are back, this time for Divergent and Green Lantern.
