My Geek Confessions #33 – Anime Banzai 2012 Special!

Welcome to our episode from Anime Banzai 2012!

This episode was a blast to record! While we were at Anime Banzai 2012 in Layton, Utah, we were able to get a chance to sit down with some amazing guests. First up, we talked to L.B. Bryant (who contrary to popular belief, is not Micah Solusod) and Amanda Rush from the great website Then we interview Chris Patton, David Vincent, Micah Solusod, and Steve Nuñez (aka Warky T. Chocobo) who returns to keep his title as our most returning guest! We had a great time and thank every one of them for coming on the show. For links to them and their new things, look at the links below.

L. B. Bryant is the Content Director/Writer at Read his stuff at,, and and follow him on Twitter at @otakureview. And just to make it clear, he’s not in fact Micah Solusod. He is however a cool guy that you should check out.

Amanda Rush is also Writer for and also for Follow her and her sometimes inappropriately funny tweets over at @TheAnimaven on Twitter. Check out her stuff, you won’t be disappointed by her humor.

Chris Patton has been a voice actor for many many years for both anime and audio books. You may know him as Greed from Fullmetal Alchemist (both series), Sousuke from Full Metal Panic!, Ayato from RahXephon (one of my personal favorites), and many others. Check out his IMDB page and Wikipedia page for a more complete list.

David Vincent is probably best known in the anime world as being the voice of Grimmjow Jeagerjaques from Bleach and Van in Gun X Sword. But he doesn’t stop there. Not only is he an actor in many anime, video games, commercials for TV and Radio, and live action roles on Prime Time Television; he’s also a Television Producer for a variety of different shows, and even teaches VO classes. Check out his IMDB page and Wikipedia page for more details. Check out his Facebook if you’re interested in any of his voice acting classes in the LA area.

He has lots of things coming out that he can’t share yet, but his newest thing is Resident Evil: Damnation which he did motion capture, facial capture, and voice acting for. You can pick it up over at
