Welcome to our episode for January 24, 2014!

Cori is back and has spared Hollywood of more deaths! We have Cori Catch-up where Cori reviews The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, gives her reviews for other movies, and we review Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. Then Justin Bieber was arrested in Florida,  and we talk about major fails from WB and DC.

In TV news we have the last and first guests for the great NBC Talk Show shuffle, more cameos for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., NBC picking Peter Pan as their new musical, plus more news on Girl Meets World.

Lastly in Talk Nerdy to Me, there’s more Durarara and Black Butler anime on the way, Tiger & Bunny is coming to US theaters, and Old Spice Guy is back with a bunch of fake websites.

Be sure to subscribe to us in iTunes, and give us a review. Comment here to show us you care! And by all means, feel free to donate to us!

“My Geek Confessions – Watching Bad Movies, So You Don’t Have To!”

We talked about Weird Al Yankovic guest starring in an episode of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, but now we have an actual clip. For some reason he’s dressed up some what like Clint Eastwood in a western, that is until he breaks out into song.

I’m not sure where Disney is going with this. Apparently I’m the only one that thinks that the announcer pronounces Maleficent weird, but I’m worried that they are changing her from a villain to a misunderstood anti-hero which is a huge mistake.

The guys at XKCD did a comic a little while ago about how every major is terrible at College. While it was clever I think, it’s better when done by the Simon Fraser University Choir. Especially when complete with demonstrations of why each major is terrible.

With the Superbowl soon approaching, here is an entertaining quick video that explains the basic rules of American Football. But we’ll still probably be watching just for the commercials.

Since Frozen has done so well for Disney worldwide, they decided to release a multilanguage clip of the song “Let It Go” in 25 different languages. To me the most impressive thing is the voice match they got for the singing as it sounds almost identical in the various languages.
