DVD/Blu-Ray

[amazon_link id=”B003Y5H5BA” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]21 Jump Street (+ UltraViolet Digital Copy) [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B003Y5H5BA” target=”_blank” ]21 Jump Street[/amazon_link] – Seems like only yesterday that this was released in theaters, but its being released this week. Which I have a feeling has something to do with Magic Mike (Channing Tatum’s stripper movie) being released this weekend. 21 Jump Street is a comedic take on the iconic late 80s police drama. It stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as police officers that pose as students in order to track down a dangerous synthetic drug. Stars Jonah Hill, Channing Tatum, Ice Cube, Rob Riggle and Brie Larson. Rated R.

[amazon_link id=”B00782O7NE” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Artist (+ UltraViolet Digital Copy) [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B00782O7NE” target=”_blank” ]The Artist[/amazon_link] – It’s surprising to me that this movie is only now being released on video as this was the Academy Award winner for this year. (Meaning it was four months too late and everyone has forgotten about it) If you are still interested in it, this movie is an homage to the silent film era. Be prepared in that the entire film is silent. Stars Jean Dujardin, Bérénice Bejo, John Goodman, James Cromwell, and Penelope Ann Miller. Rated PG-13.

[amazon_link id=”B005LAIH5O” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Wrath of the Titans [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B005LAIH5O” target=”_blank” ]Wrath of the Titans[/amazon_link] – I will be perfectly clear. I hated the remake of the Clash of the Titans and I hated Wrath of the Titans even more. (It will soon be a subject for Adventures in Netflix) The movie made little sense, had no real basis in myth, and made you care for characters even less then the first one did. How these keep on getting made is beyond me. Stars Sam Worthington and Liam Neeson. Rated PG-13.

[amazon_link id=”B005LAII0S” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Mirror Mirror [Blu-ray/ DVD + Digital Copy][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B005LAII0S” target=”_blank” ]Mirror Mirror[/amazon_link] – An inventive version of the Snow White tale that was actually rather fun and entertaining. This was much better then the trailers made it seem. You can check out my review of it here. Stars Lily Collins, Sean Bean, Julia Roberts, Armie Hammer, and Nathan Lane. Rated PG.

[amazon_link id=”B005LAIGJQ” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]A Thousand Words (+UltraViolet) [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B005LAIGJQ” target=”_blank” ]A Thousand Words[/amazon_link] – A Thousand Words is like the movie that time forgot since it was originally supposed to come out in 2009 but got delayed until earlier this year. It quietly came out in theaters and finally on video if you dare want to watch it. Eddie Murphy plays Jack McCall, a literary agent who can sweet talk his way into anything. He unfortunately lies to Dr. Sinja, who then curses him with a magical Bodhi tree with 1,000 leaves that fall with every word that Jack says. When the last leaf falls, Jack will die. Stars Eddie Murphy, Cliff Curtis, Clark Duke, Allison Janney, Kerry Washington, Jordan-Claire Green, and Philip Pavel. Rated PG-13.

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IBVQ” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The Decoy Bride [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IBVQ” target=”_blank” ]The Decoy Bride[/amazon_link] – David Tennant is an English author marrying a famous film star and they keep having their wedding interrupted by the paparazzi. So they hire a local girl to stand in as a decoy but then he starts to be interested in her. Stars David Tennant, Kelly Macdonald, Alice Eve. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B0058YPPN0″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Damages: The Complete Fourth Season[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B0058YPPN0″ target=”_blank” ]Damages: The Complete Fourth Season[/amazon_link] – Interestingly enough this series is now a DirecTV only exclusive, so if you’re wanting to catch up on the series, now is your time to do it. (I believe it started on FX?) It has a pretty decent cast with John Goodman and Glenn Close. Stars Glenn Close, Rose Byrne, Chris Messina, John Goodman, and Dylan Baker. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007Z8ECHC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu - Season 1[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007Z8ECHC” target=”_blank” ]Lego Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu – Season 1[/amazon_link] – I can’t tell if this is a proper release of the TV series so far or the others were specials that just had the exact same name to make it confusing for everyone. However if this is the series, its actually not bad and even interesting with the Lego character designs. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007I1Q4RC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Iron Man: Armored Adventures Season 2 Vol 1[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007I1Q4RC” target=”_blank” ]Iron Man: Armored Adventures Season 2 Vol 1[/amazon_link] – A very different retelling of the Iron Man story that has Tony as a teen and the animation looks a little odd, but this is a great series. I do highly suggest it, and really has a lot of other side stories of Iron Man that you haven’t heard about from the movies. If you want to catch up on the newer episodes its on Nicktoons. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IC7Y” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Towanoquon Complete Collection [Blu-ray][/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IC7Y” target=”_blank” ]Towanoquon Complete Collection[/amazon_link] – An anime series about kids that develop special powers and the order that tries to track them down and kill them. This is by Sentai Filmworks and surprisingly has both a dub and sub. When they do dub they actually do a pretty good job, so it might be worth checking out. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007HMCQBA” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Lupin the 3rd: Complete First TV Series[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007HMCQBA” target=”_blank” ]Lupin the 3rd: Complete First TV Series[/amazon_link] – A sub only release that has several episodes directed by Hayao Miyazaki. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007RVUDOI” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Strawberry Panic: The Complete Series[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007RVUDOI” target=”_blank” ]Strawberry Panic: The Complete Series[/amazon_link] – Another sub only release but interestingly enough its actually rated PG-13 which I’ve never seen happen. So yeah… Rated PG-13.

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IBFC” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Maria Holic Alive Complete Collection[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007K7IBFC” target=”_blank” ]Maria Holic Alive Complete Collection[/amazon_link] – Another sub only release that’s a sequel series to the Maria Holic. About a girl who is so scared of boys that she breaks out in hives, goes to an all girls school and shares a room with a cross dressing boy. Not Rated.

[amazon_link id=”B007NU542O” target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]Tales of Vesperia - Movie (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)[/amazon_link]

[amazon_link id=”B007NU542O” target=”_blank” ]Tales of Vesperia – Movie[/amazon_link] – I believe this is a prequel to the video game, that luckily is dubbed by Funimation. Two Imperial Knights fight to protect the kingdom from the mysterious Aer and then come to find out what it really is. Not Rated.
