This is actually a pretty decent week for new releases so there is quite a long list.

The young reporter Tintin must find the secret of the sunken ship Unicorn before his enemies do. He has his dog Snowy and Captain Haddock to help him along the way. Rated PG.

As he tries let people say their goodbyes, he finds out that she was having an affair and struggles to keep his family together and find out what his wife saw in the other man. Rated R.

Stars Michelle Williams, Emma Watson, Kenneth Branagh, and Judi Dench. Rated R.

It is about two sisters and their life during and after a wedding as the family and the world panic, because the rogue planet Melancholia is headed straight for earth. A unique Apocalyptic film. Stars Kirsten Dunst, Kiefer Sutherland, and Alexander Skarsgard. Rated R.

This version is an action oriented version and was a gimmicky 3-D version, so many effects and story play to that and not to the plot. Stars Logan Lerman, Orlando Bloom and Milla Jovovich. Rated PG-13.

[amazon_link id=”B005FITILO” target=”_blank” ]Young Adult[/amazon_link] – A dark comedy by the makers of Juno, this movie stars Charlize Theron as writer of a series of young adult book. Suffering some writers block, she decides to go back to her home town, and decides to try to break up the marriage of her high school boyfriend. Also stars Patrick Wilson, Patton Oswalt, and J.K. Simmons. Rated R.

He tries to follow a penguin who can fly, and glacier cuts off other penguins, and Erik gets his new friends to help save them. Also stars Pink, Hank Azaria, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Robin Williams. Rated PG.

Best part of this movie is that Bob Hoskins reprises his role from Hook as Smee. Stars Rhys Ifans, Bob Hoskins, Keira Knightley, and Charlie Rowe. Not Rated.

I find this series poorly animated, not funny, and over the top. Part of the continual slide of Adult Swim into unwatchable-ness. Not Rated (but definitely adult).

Kekkaishi Set 4 – The next set in the Kekkaishi series that aired on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim. Follows the adventures of Yoshimori Sumimura and Tokine Yukimura as they protect the land of Karasumori, which also just happens to be where their school is located. And excellent series, and great for fans of Vic Mignogna and Laura Bailey. Not Rated.
